Book review: The Claude glass by Tom Bullough

A beautiful, harrowing depiction of the clash between the bucolic aspirations of a hippy family and the harsh realities of rural life in Radnorshire's Wales, told through the eyes of two children. Tom Bullough's mastery of descriptions is a lesson in writing, one that takes us into a world rarely considered from the point of view of an insider. This book shows Welsh writing at its best.
